As we know, just implementing time limits without proper enforcement will not work.
Drivers may simply move their cars every few hours to avoid ticketing.
To address this issue a combined approach of charging parking fees combined with limits on lengths of stay
- and proper enforcement – ensures, that there are always some parking spots available thanks to enforced rotation.
This will make the location more appealing to customers as they know that they will find a parking spot. Combined with other digital technologies this approach will avoid a lot of search traffic and therefor it is a step closer to carbon neutrality.
Parking period restrictions and strict enforcement can also boost parking turnover, allowing more cars to use the same number of spaces.
1. Sammeln der Daten
Das System erstellt 20 Fotos pro Sekunde. Dank dessen ist das Nummernschild des kontrollierten Fahrzeugs immer auf mehreren Fotos sichtbar, die anschließend einer weiteren Analyse unterzogen werden. Jedes Foto ist zusätzlich mit Daten von weiteren Sensoren im Fahrzeug verknüpft.
2. Feststellen der Position
Das GPS-Modul bestimmt die genaue Position des Fahrzeugs und wird unter anderem dazu verwendet, um die Zeit des Systemrechners mit der GPS-Zeit zu synchronisieren. Das LIDAR-Modul bestimmt wiederum die Entfernung von Objekten zum Cityscanner bestimmt mit Hilfe von Präzisionssensoren in Verbindung mit GPS Daten die Position mit einer Genauigkeit von 5cm. Nummernschild wird innerhalb von wenigen Zentimetern Genauigkeit angegeben. Auf diese Weise kann das System genau bestimmen, ob sich das Fahrzeug auf dem kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz befindet, und somit eine vollständige Automatisierung des weiteren Vorgangs ermöglichen.
3. Überprüfen der Zahlung
Zahlungsaufforderungen können automatisch generiert werden. Personen werden nur noch zum Verschicken der Verwarnungen benötigt.
4. Überprüfen der Halter Informationen
Das City Scanner-System vergleicht Fahrzeugkennzeichen mit einer Datenbank mit bezahlten Parkgebühren.
